Laura is a partner in Matheson and has over 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate law, advising clients on some of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in the Irish market.
Laura has particular expertise in advising owners and operators of data centres in Ireland and has advised on the acquisition, disposal and letting of such assets over the last 10 years.
Experience and Education
Laura’s experience includes advising:
- a global technology company on development of a new data centre campus (value of over €1 billion), which included preparing a bespoke lease agreement linking rent to power usage;
- one of the World’s largest technology companies on all real estate aspects of its Irish headquarters which houses 6,000 members of staff;
- a listed technology company on the acquisition of a site to establish its European headquarters;
- Advising Oxley Holding and Ballymore Group on the letting and sale of Dublin Landings which includes over 600,000 square feet of office space, more than 300 residential units, a number of retail and restaurant units, public amenities and city streets;
- Ballymore Group on the development of Dublin Arch, which will include 111,000 square metres of homes and office space and Ireland’s first Standard Hotel along with retail and restaurant units;
- acting on the acquisition, leasing, financing and subsequent sale of a large data centre in Dublin; and
- various international tenants on leasing transactions of various scales.
